To achieve these goals, Black in AI has developed a comprehensive suite of programs, activities, and support mechanisms. Central to its operation is robust community engagement, fostered through online workshops, annual flagship events (often co-located with major AI conferences like NeurIPS, providing visibility and networking opportunities), academic paper presentation sessions, general conferences, and social gatherings designed to connect members and stakeholders with industry thought leaders.24 A significant focus is placed on education and career development. BAI offers several signature programs tailored to support emerging AI practitioners at various stages of their careers.
